QR Code Size Guide — What Size Should Your QR Code Be?
A QR code that's too small won't scan. One that's too large wastes space. Here's the exact minimum size for every use case.

Golden Rule: 1cm per Meter of Scan Distance
For every meter away the scanner will be, your QR code needs at least 1cm of size. Someone scanning from 5 meters away needs a 5cm × 5cm code.
Why Size Matters
QR codes are made of small squares called modules. If the code is too small, the camera can't distinguish individual modules. The result: failed scans and frustrated users.
Leave White Space (Quiet Zone)
Always leave a border of white space around the QR code equal to 4% of the code's width. For a 3cm code, leave at least 3mm of white border.
